• Klay terracotta wine racks stacked in wine cellar under a staircase at luxury guest house

A cellar crafted for both the senses and the seasons.

The rhythmic repetition of shapes brings a calm, grounded beauty to the space. The hexagonal form of our wine racks makes them a visually appealing and customisable solution to wine storage with additional racks easily added as needed.

Spioenkop’s tasting room perfectly highlights this!

  • Klay's innovative solution to the Klompie - the Klompie Tile and Klompie Tile Return

When a client asked if our Klompie brick could be used as tiling for a patio, we saw an opportunity 🫡

Same iconic look, made easier with our Klompie and Cape Thin Brick tiles—designed to replicate the classic Klompie look we all know and love, but save you time, money, and intensive labour.

  • Klay quote from Curves and Creativity blog

While we still love a sleek minimalist finish, we cannot help but be captivated by the resurgence of Art Deco elements and organic forms in contemporary architecture. Two standout projects embracing the trend: The Tropicana Hotel developed by @signaturasa, and their signature ground-floor restaurant, Juno in Sea Point.

💭 What’s your take — is Art Deco having a true revival, or should it stay in the past?

  • Juno cafe counter featuring Klay terracotta flooring and cladding

When the brief calls for something honest and grounded, Klay delivers.

At Juno Sea Point, our naturally made products helped bring a sense of authenticity to the space. Greeted with fresh blooms at the door, the scent of coffee and warm bagels lingering in the air long before we even step inside.

Chai flooring meets Latte cladding — and with coffee brewing in the background, it’s a match made in heaven.
